| RENICK TO ANTHONY Mostly Class I water with small rapids. Very scenic and remote. There is one Class III rapid (Tumble Rock) located three miles above the Anthony Bridge. April and May are the best months to run this section. |

| ANTHONY TO CALDWELL Class I water and during the spring months some rapids can run Class II. On this trip the river starts to broaden and has much more volume. April and May are the ideal months to float this section when the current is swift and large haystacks appear. |

| CALDWELL TO RONCEVERTE ISLAND PARK All Class I water. Whitcomb Rapid is located under the C&O Railroad Bridge. During April and May this rapid can run to Class II. Near the Island Park a rock dam stretches across the entire width of the river. This is a great family or beginners' canoe trip. |

This is our most popular trip and it will give you a sample of the best whitewater canoeing on the river. |

SHUTTLE SERVICE
Shuttle service for persons and gear is provided by the Greenbrier River
Company. For all trips with a round-trip distance of 18 miles or less,
the service is provided as part of the canoe rental fee. For all
distances over 18 miles, a per mile charge of $1.25 cents will apply.
Shuttle service is also available for private canoes. The fee for
private canoe shuttle is $2.50 per mile, calculated on a
round-trip road mile basis.
COMBINED TRIPS
Connecting sections of the river can be combined for longer trips at no
additional rental charge if trip is completed between 8:00 A.M. and 5:00
P.M., Extra shuttle fee may apply.
OVERNIGHT TRIPS
Overnight trips are very popular. We rent everything you will need for the
river.
MULTI-DAY TRIPS
Multi-day canoeing trips are offered during April and May when water levels on
the upper sections are adequate. We offer up to 5 day trips covering 158 miles
of the river. We provide trip planning, river maps, shuttle service, and general
information.
Average trip time will vary according to water level, weather, paddling skill, and type of craft. CANOES - 2 1/2 miles per hour, TUBES - 1 mile per hour. These times do not include scouting rapids, fishing, lunch breaks, or rest periods.
